There are some items that you can’t do without if you get invited on to a yacht trip or if you do own a yacht and thinking that instead of hiding in the lower deck, you’d rather be out on the deck enjoying the sunshine. You need these items.
- Lip balm
- Motion Sickness Pills
Universal knowledge. We need sunblock to protect our skin from the harsh UV rays and pray hard that you won’t get sunburnt at the end of it because it REALLY HURTS. So get sunblock guys, it’s important, trust me.
Standing under the sun for hours takes a toll not just on your skin but also your lips! Have you ever sat down after a day in the sun and find that your lips are really dry? That’s because you’re dehydrated and cracked lips are not fun. So why do you let chapped lips ruin what could be the best trip ever? Get yourself some balmdotcom from Glossier! 😉
Protect your eyes from them UV rays and look cool all at the same time! That’s the way to live and travel. Plus, you can use them on a daily basis. Whether you’re hitting the streets or heading out for work, there’s always time to wear a pair of sunnies and head out! Invest in a pair that fits you and dazzles the people you meet with it!
PS: A good pair of sunglasses goes a long way especially with crazy UV rays, your eyes are important!
The water out there can be a little choppy and if you get motion sickness really easily, get yourself a box of these, take them an hour before your hit the seas. Don’t get knocked over and kill your vibe!
If you’re not into other recreational activities like swimming or sun-tanning, find a nice area on the deck and get cosy with a book whilst enjoying your surroundings. One of our favourites was reading Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan and believing that for a moment, we were crazy rich Asians. 😉
Just a little sweet stuff that could help you to deal with feeling queasy onboard! Keeps you away and deflects that bit of motion sickness.
These are some of the things that you have to keep them close when you’re on a yacht but also at the same time, there are a couple more items that you can consider having like a sun hat/cap, swim wear and a bottle of rosé for some additional fun! 😉
But here’s a friendly PSA: Always be conscious of where you’re standing and what you’re doing – for example, taking a selfie. You don’t wanna fall over and risk losing loose items on you! (Especially handphones and jewellery!) But of course, have fun and just don’t party too hard on deck yeah? Actually, number one priority is to stay safe and just maybe by the end of the trip you’ll still be on your feet!
